Tap Into America

I just finished watching Barack Obama live on the Span from Rochester NH. Senator O's stump speech may not rank as one of the greatest of all time, but for this time and place, it is stunning.  He has figured out how to tap into that great American idealism. We think of ourselves as good people, and we believe in the power of dreams, of, love and yes, hope. Good songwriters, playwrights, and poets throughout the ages have understood that inspiration requires more than prose. 

As much as I am skeptical of the O man, as much as I prefer John Edwards (or my first choice Al Gore ), I only see three things that could stand between Mr. Obama and the White House:

A. A major stumble by Barack of the Larry Craig variety which seems unlikely.

B. George and Dick cancel the election due to umm..... the "International Situation". 

C. A bullet. ( God forbid. )

This man with the funny name may be about to change history.
