You Could Put That Shit On Pay Per View

This afternoon, CNN "Open House" host Gerri Willis came by CNN Newsroom to discuss the economy. Willis joked with anchor Kyra Phillips that if she could predict the stock market, she and Phillips could run off to an island, prompting Phillips' co-anchor, Don Lemon, to ask not to be left out of the girls' getaway. This resulted in the following exchange:

Gerri: Alright Don, you come too.
Kyra: We could bring him along with the girls.
Gerri: Come on!
Kyra: He's paying! Thanks, Gerri.
Don: A little sandwich!
Kyra: Ooh!
Gerri: Whoa, I have to go now!
Kyra: Yeah, good time. You don't want to talk about the reverse oreo!

Willis was visibly embarrassed by Phillips' joke, though Lemon seemed to enjoy it, laughing out loud and announcing, "Oh, she said it! I'm glad she said it."

Somewhere Admiral Nelson Is Twirling

One of Britain's biggest warships was forced to retreat back to base Wednesday -- by fears about a fridge.

The aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious sailed out Wednesday from Portsmouth on the southern English coast, the home of the fleet, to join multi-national operations in the Indian Ocean.
But "Lusty" had to turn back because a refrigeration unit used to store meat was in danger of breaking down.

"The sensible thing is for her to come in and get that fixed before she goes off again," said Royal Navy spokesman Anton Hanney.

"It wouldn't be prudent for her to go off with the chance of the unit breaking down while she was in warmer climates and then engineers would have to be flown out to her to fix it."ip.

So my boy JohnEdwards ( or John Boy if you insist ) is throwing in the towel. I am inclined to believe a deal was made, and that deal needed to get done before Super Tuesday....... To begin to puzzle out the outline of any deal we should consider who benefits: Where will the white guys Edwards was taking go? Obama? On a strictly closer in spirit basis the answer would be yes...but, a white guy who sees BHO as the new JFK was already there... and would certainly have been tipped the rest of the way by Teddy and Caroline. So I'm left to wonder..... what did John and Hillary talk about in the South Carolina green room? The Internets are a clamoring fro JE as the AG which would be fine, though I would rather see him on the SCOTUS.

Anyhow..I am proud to have stood with you John, keep the faith. Now I'm gonna see if I can still get a seat on the soul train.........

Curtains For Rudy In Fla?

The chattering nabobs are blabbering on the Tee Vee that Rudy The G' might be done for after Florida today. Don't believe it. You can't kill the devil, pure evil may morph and change shapes, but it never disappears. We have not seen the last of the beast....

"And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs...."

In Today's Flying Robot News.....

Cool Headline:

Flying robot to track whales off Australia: report

A flying robot is to join the fight to save the world's whales by taking part in an aerial survey to count humpbacks off Australia, a report said Sunday.

The remote-controlled drone will patrol waters off Australia's North Stradbroke Island, taking pictures scientists hope will enable them to count the migrating whales, Sydney's Sun-Herald newspaper said.

Scientists hope using the five-metre (16-foot) wingspan drone will result in a more accurate estimate of the animals' numbers and help convince Japan to stop its annual whale hunt.

Final SOTU From POTUS Code name: "Dickweed"

Tonight is the final State of The Union screech from President shit for brains. In my humble opinion the best thing this tool could do is announce tonight that he is having Dick Cheney arrested for treason, and plans to surrender himself to the Hague in the morning.

Well perhaps I'm being a bit optimistic........ maybe he could just announce that Cheney and Rove have fled the country...........

Kennedy Endorsement Gives Obama Key Boost

Romney and McCain Neck and Neck in Florida

Sen. Barack Obama today picked up the endorsement of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), giving the Illinois Democrat a key boost as he and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) head into their final week of campaigning before the potentially crucial "Super Tuesday" presidential primaries on Feb. 5.

In a speech at American University in Washington, Kennedy, 75, a 45-year veteran of the Senate and a standard-bearer for liberal Democrats, joined his niece, Caroline Kennedy, and his son, Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy (D-R.I.), in publicly backing Obama for the party's nomination.

The three Kennedys, taking turns speaking at a lectern bearing the slogan, "Change We Can Believe In," invoked the inspiration of former President John F. Kennedy in supporting the candidacy of Obama, a first-term senator who seeks to become the nation's first African American president.

Addressing a cheering, overflow crowd in the university's Bender Arena, Sen. Kennedy hailed Obama as a candidate who "has lit a spark of hope amid the fierce urgency of now." Calling on Americans to "have the courage to choose change," he declared: "It is time again for a new generation of leadership! It is time now for Barack Obama!"

In accepting the endorsements, Obama told the crowd: "We will change the course of history. And the glow from that fire can truly light the world."

The endorsement by the senior senator from Massachusetts was widely seen as important for Obama because it gives him the imprimatur of a major leader of the Democratic establishment.

But it also highlights a split in one of America's most politically prominent families, reflecting the division and uncertainty in the establishment as the race for the Democratic nomination heats up. Another of Kennedy's nieces, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a former Democratic lieutenant governor of Maryland, is supporting Clinton. So is a nephew, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a leading environmental activist.

Aides to Clinton, who was campaigning today in Connecticut and Massachusetts, said endorsements matter much less than delegates to the Democratic convention.

Back again.........

So Ok... it's been a while. Guess what.. I'm back with a desire to write again. It seems like this may once again be a place I can ...
